DramaWorks Film Factory offers courses in acting for screen and film making. Designed especially for young teens who love film and love creating!

For those who would like to work on screen these workshops develop confidence in working in front of the camera and basic screen acting skills they need to audition and work on set.

Trimester 1.

Our first trimester focuses on key acting skills. Through acting exercises, improvisation and vocal work students learn to portray truthful characters and give natural performances. We work with a variety of scripts as well as devised scenes and learn how to perform these on screen. We explore many genres from fiction stories to documentary style and commercials. We learn to visualise and tell stories through the eye for the camera.

Trimester 2 and 3.

In the second and third trimesters we explore film making, from developing a story board through to shooting their movie! We learn that creating film is teamwork! By working hands on with the camera students learn about sound, directing and basic camera skills. There’s a lot to learn both in front of and behind the camera!

After a lot of fun and hard work it's time to pop the popcorn and hit the red carpet! We invite friends and family to watch their movie premier!
